I seem to make a habit of creating art and then forgetting about it as I steam ahead to create the next work. For someone who is quite business minded this is not a very business savvy approach! Obviously the biggest joy is in the making but the second biggest joy is when someone likes your work enough to purchase it. I need to keep that in mind
I use an app called Procreate on my ipad to create my digital work. One of it’s best features is the time-lapse replay showing how the piece was created which is always a revelation to me. I’m usually so caught up in the moment that I very rarely remember the different stages of a drawing or painting’s creation. So I love playing these back. I thought you might like to see how this lost piece was made. I noticed that it was filed in a folder called Clevedon which makes sense as I did a lot of ink drawings there over lockdown. I do remember making this and even printed an artist’s proof which I subsequently gifted to a friend as you do! I’m thinking of printing this as a 30x30cm or a 40x40cm to match the murmerings print already on my site. Any thoughts gratefully received.
