I use an app called Procreate on my ipad to create my digital work. One of it’s best features is the time-lapse replay showing how the piece was created which is always a revelation to me. Click to see the video.

So I finally, after a year of postponements, got to take part in my first in person arts trail! It was an absolute blast and a success on so many levels. I exhibited at Stoke Bishop Village Hall with 8 other artists several of whom have been exhibiting with the BS9ers since the very early days so I felt very honoured to be invited to join them..

Wow! What a colossal year 2020 turned out to be. It was always going to be a big year of change -. I’d already planned to close my clothing boutique, Amulet, in Jan 2020. I’d built Amulet up from a stall inside a shopping centre in 2008 into an award winning boutique. It’s how I’d managed to raise 2 children on my own. Closing it was a big deal.
The North Bristol Art Trail took place this weekend from the 27-29th November. It was going to be my first trail on home turf but was scuppered due to lockdown no.2. So the walking trail became a virtual trail.
I uncovered an old sketchbook full design made during my short stint as a textile designer. I worked for a Bristol textile design agency called fabric8 who sold mainly to the American market.
